Saturday Mornings

The sun interrupts her slumber, but it’s a welcomed departure from her dreams the moment her mind wanders to the events of night before. That wasn’t just a dream, that was real. Every detail flashing before her, a few seconds felt like an hour. As she gazes at the ceiling… a sigh of contentment.

Back to reality... although she'd love to just lay there and let her thoughts consume her, she's inspired to get working on her blog dedicated to the upliftment and advocacy of unity among women of color.

Breakfast in bed. She had been so busy catching up on work that she didn’t even realize him creeping down to prepare it. She could use the break, and he got to reward her for last night.

He falls back and let's her talk. He inquires sometimes. He admires her mind.

Then he knows to give her space. When she's done with her work, she'll come to him.

And they end up right where they began the night before.
